This is a large oil on canvas coastal landscape painting depicting fishing boats on a beach with figures in the foreground, another fishing boat already at sea in the background, all under a sky with billowy white clouds. Signed "J. Noble Barlow" and dated "1902" lower right. Housed in a period carved foliate gilt wood frame with acanthus carved corners.
